We know that besides caregivers, it is school personnel that have the most interaction with a child. Often times, it is a caring adult at a child’s school that recognizes a child is struggling with grief. Judi’s House staff works cooperatively with all school districts in the Denver metro area. Our staff is available to consult with school personnel on how to best help grieving children in the school setting. We are also available to do trainings for school staff on how to best help children cope with grief. In addition, if a school can identify at least 6 children who could benefit for a peer support group, we will send staff to the school to facilitate these groups. As with all groups at Judi’s House, these services are offered at no cost to the school or the family. If you are interested in any of the support services Judi’s House can provide to your school, please contact Jason Stout.
