Welcome and Bienvenidos

The death of a loved one can be an overwhelming experience for anyone.  For a child, whose entire experience of the world is defined by their connection to a handful of people, the death of one of those people can be isolating, confusing, life-altering … devastating. While other family members are overcome with their own experience of grief and loss, children often become forgotten mourners.

At Judi's House, youth and children ages 3-18 have the opportunity to participate in peer-based support groups with children their own age who have had similar experiences. Here, children and their adult caregivers learn that grief is a healthy response to the death of someone they love.   Here, they are given the freedom to grieve in their own way at their own pace.  Here bereaved children and families learn that hope and healing are possible.

Please take the time to explore the resources offered through this website to learn more about how to help those you care for, or even yourself.  If you are grieving the death of someone you love, we want you to know that  you do not have to do this alone.  Call us, or email us or set up a time to come by Judi's House.

If you are interested in helping, consider making a donation, or volunteering  your time.  It is through the support of the community that Judi's House continues to bring into focus a vision of community where no child has to be alone in their grief.
